A GROUP of jobless Eastern Cape youths has been selected to join a R2.5-million national tourism training project launched through a new public-private partnership.

The nine youths, aged 18 to 29, all come from Lusikisiki in Pondoland, on the northern Wild Coast, an area which the authorities have identified as one of the poorest in the country, but also ideal to expand tourism.
